Is Lukas Rossi Being Used for Ratings?

Lukas Rossi, the winner of the 2006 CBS series Rock Star: Supernova is taking another stab at stardom on NBC's The Voice...but will it lead to fame?

The highly anticipated singing competition show is being produced by Mark Burnett, who also produced Rock Star. According to an insider, "Lukas was brought on to the show as a way to get attention for the first episode, but it's doubtful that they will keep him. He was being used so the clips of his performance could be advertised before the show's debut, but they did not intend to keep him along."

A rep for NBC could not be reached for comment.

Time will only tell if the talented singer will have a successful run on the show that airs on April 26.
